ggAVAX is a synthetic derivative token of AVAX (Avalanche) received by users when they deposit into GoGoPool. It represents a staker's deposit plus the rewards it earns over time and is considered liquid, meaning it can be used like AVAX for various purposes:
ggAVAX is a synthetic derivative token of AVAX (Avalanche) received by users when they deposit into GoGoPool. It represents a staker's deposit plus the rewards it earns over time and is considered liquid, meaning it can be used like AVAX for various purposes:
- Holding to accrue staking rewards
- Selling or
- Earning additional yield
If there is floating AVAX available in the deposit pool, users can exchange ggAVAX back for AVAX (which burns the ggAVAX and draws AVAX from the deposit pool). Additionally, they can exchange it for any token on exchanges that list the token.
GoGoPool also has another token called GGP. This ERC20 token serves as the protocol token and is used by Node Operators to launch minipools (full Avalanche Validator nodes matched with liquid staking funds) for 1000 AVAX. Node Operators must stake a minimum amount of GGP tokens to ensure a certain behavior, and they can earn additional GGP rewards based on their participation.
