Gaming Stars is a gaming app/website based in Berlin, which allows users to compete globally in various games for fiat and cryptocurrency. It offers three different game modes including classic 1vs1 matches, tournaments with up to 16 participants and a unique mode called Skill Challenges. This mode applies the concept of sports betting to video gaming where gamers can place bets on their own gameplay. Gaming Stars was backed by well-known German business angels including the founder of DefShop and MILES. The company raised 1 million Euro in two crowdfunding campaigns. Gaming Stars' aim is to replicate PokerStars' success in poker for video gaming.
