True Freeze is a fully decentralized proof of patience protocol. Users can lock ETH for a period ranging from 1 to 1,100 days, which generates two assets: a certificate of Deposit NFT and freezer-ETH (frETH). This NFT represents the user's position, while frETH tokens symbolize their tokenized patience.

In this autonomous protocol, the NFTs can be traded on any NFT marketplace similar to zero-coupon bonds. The frETH tokens are bought and sold, with fees applicable for early withdrawals. These fees include a small, fixed ETH amount (0.25%) and a variable frETH fee.

Early withdrawals during the initial two-thirds of the lock time require more frETH than originally minted by the NFT. The revenue from these fees is directed towards stakers of the FRZ token. The FRZ token supply inflates over time autonomously and is distributed among users who burn frETH. This mechanism creates a self-sustaining system that absorbs the volatility of ETH, influencing the values of frETH and FRZ tokens.

The total supply of frETH is determined by the difference between the minted amount and the burned amount, either through redemptions or FRZ emissions.
