FRED Energy is a UK-based crypto project, founded in 2018, aimed at supporting the widely increased adoption and generation of alternative energy by consumers. It also helps in funding research for energy devices. The project primarily targets challenges like rising energy costs, fuel poverty, and inadequate support for energy device innovators. swelling world adoption and production of alternative energy by consumers through green energy related projects and an eco-friendly online marketplace called shop.fredenergy.org.
The green energy marketplace pioneered early crypto payments for real-world goods back in early 2020. Among its lined-up projects for 2021 was the development of a joint venture product with battery pack tracking on the Stellar blockchain for token reuse and recycling via FACT, its non-tradeable token. The project also launched FREDx on the Ethereum blockchain in January 2021.
