SNKRZ is developing a sustainable metaverse platform aimed at fitness that integrates aspects of FitnessFi, SocialFi, and GameFi. The project, which began in March 2022, is backed by top Korean gaming companies, Com2uS and Wemade, and made up of team members who have significant experience in the gaming industry and the creation of leading mobile apps in Korea. Unique from most Web3 move-to-earn projects, SNKRZ primarily targets a Web2 audience, shifting much of the generated value from Web2 to Web3, and avoids dependency on unsustainable pyramid models used by present engage-to-earn apps. The platform includes a LAND metaverse where users can possess and commercialize land (as an NFT) tied to a real-world map, attracting brands, and corporations. The project started its closed beta in May 2022 and officially rolled out in September 2022. Its $FORCE token can be used for breeding, upgrading, and repairing the durability of SNKRZ sneakers.
