Flare is a unique, EvM-based Layer 1 blockchain designed for the creation of applications that can interact with other blockchains and the internet. It offers decentralized access to reliable and high-integrity data, thus introducing new use and monetization models. It features native interoperability protocols, the State Connector and the FTSO, which deliver data from various off-chain sources in a decentralized manner. This process is aided by the Flare Time Series Oracle and the State Connector protocols, leading to a risk-minimized block chain with broad application potential. The Flare (FLR) token is used for payments, transaction fees, and staking in validator nodes and it can be converted into a Wrapped Flare (WFLR) token for various other functions including staking for governance or delegating to FTSO data providers.
