EthereumPoW (ETHW) is a community-based project that forked from the Ethereum network, maintaining the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism. It was created by sovereign developers and miners who did not wish to transition to Ethereum’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanism after the Merge. The mainnet launched shortly after the Merge and features a unique implementation of PoW, distinct from Ethereum.
