The Ethereum Message Service (EMS) project aims to improve the ease of sending on-chain instant messages through Ethereum transactions. Users can add emojis, ascii art, or memes when messaging, which is facilitated by an automatic hexadecimal translation. The project's unique factor is the offering of a simple and fast user-interface that allows users to type their message in plain text, add the receiver address, and send. The project's next phase involves improving the existing dApp and possibly adding a library of ascii art for users to choose from. The EMS token is the governance token for the project, allowing holders to vote on changes to the EMS software. Everyone, including non-EMS holders, can submit proposals for an EMS vote.
