About ETHBNT Relay

ETHBNT is a Bancor pool token that represents shares in the ETH:BNT liquidity pool. This token allows holders to collect fees from ETH-based conversions on Bancor. The liquidity pool is configured with a liquidity provider fee of 0.1%, meaning that an ETH to BNT conversion generates a 0.2% fee since it requires two hops (ETH <> ETHBNT <> BNT).

The initial supply of ETHBNT pool tokens is equal to 20% of the total BNT supply at the time of the BNT holder snapshot. Similar to other pool tokens in the Bancor Protocol, the supply of ETHBNT tokens is dynamic: new tokens are minted when liquidity is added to the pool, and tokens are destroyed when liquidity is withdrawn.

ETHBNT Relay operates functionally identical to the current BNTEOS Relay on the EOS blockchain, which holds an equal value of BNT and EOS for processing BNT conversions on EOS. The token effectively entitles its holders to a share of the liquidity in the ETHBNT Relay, along with a pro-rata share of fees generated from every ETH conversion on Bancor.
