Elk Finance is a decentralized network designed for seamless cross-chain liquidity and value transfers. It allows users to move cryptocurrencies across different blockchains quickly, securely, and at a low cost. The ecosystem enables developers to build and integrate smart contracts and DeFi applications, leveraging its cross-chain functionality. The platform aims to facilitate cheap, fast, and secure cross-chain value exchange across all blockchains.
Elk Finance is already operational on several networks, including Avalanche, Polygon, Fantom Opera, and Huobi Eco. The ElkNet bridge, which enables cross-chain transfers, is live and allows users to move the native token, $ELK, between all connected chains in approximately 7 seconds without any fees.
Governance and the ELK Token
The ELK token is an ERC20-compatible utility token that underpins the Elk Finance ecosystem. It plays a central role in creating liquidity pools and facilitates sub-second value transfers across chains. The ELK token also serves as the governance token for the Elk Finance ecosystem, with portions of fees obtained from ElkNet usage allocated to its purchase.
