The eHive protocol is a community-driven experiment in DeFi Crowdsourcing built on Ethereum. It plans to provide an opportunity for all users, regardless of the size of their holdings, to participate in the new Ethereum Network that will operate on a Proof of Stake (PoS) model. This is in response to changes that will require a minimum of 32 ETH to create a validator, a requirement that excludes typical DeFi users. eHive plans to use its tokens and dashboard to make the revenue generated by validators accessible to all holders. An additional perk is that 3% of all eHive token transactions will go towards the purchase of validators when Ethereum 2.0 launches. eHive token holders will also be able to stake their tokens in a custom distribution contract that shares node-generated ETH with stakers based on their pool share. Stakers will also receive eHive tokens until the maximum supply is reached. This is part of a system planned to last approximately two to three years.
