Purpose
The initial purpose of Dukascoin is to reward new users of Dukascopy Connect 911 messenger and the associated Multi-Currency Accounts (MCA) of the Bank.

Dukascoin is designed as a crypto means of payment and is issued in limited quantity to serve dual purposes: payment and speculation. The value of the token is supported by the trustworthiness of Dukascopy Bank SA and unique combination of term and holding rewards available for Dukascoin investors.
Special Features
- When held within Dukascopy, Dukascoins benefit from Swiss deposit insurance, protection against bankruptcy, and instant transfers using phone numbers.
- Clients are free to move their coins outside the bank to the blockchain.
- The bank offers a secure internal marketplace for buying and selling Dukascoins, providing a recognized bank statement and liquidity support.
Distribution
- New users receive 5 Dukascoins for free, while referrers receive an equal amount if applicable.
- The bank receives 10 new coins every time a new account is created.
