Origin
Dogeswap is a cryptocurrency that draws inspiration from Dogecoin (DOGE), which was created as a joke by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer in 2013. Dogecoin quickly gained a large online community and is known for its face of Kabosu from the "doge" meme as its logo and namesake.
Key Features
Dogeswap operates on HECO, a decentralized ledger technology that utilizes a proof-of-work timestamping scheme and employs the Scrypt-based hash function. The project does not have a predetermined supply limit, with exactly 5 billion DogeSwap tokens entering circulation each year.
Renaming
In April 2024, Dogeswap underwent a renaming process, changing its token symbol from DOG to DOGESWAP and later to DOGES for simplicity.
