The financing of quality climate action is a challenging process due to significant up-front costs and the inaccessible and opaque nature of the forward financing industry. To address this issue, Solid World has introduced a token called CRISP-M for mangrove restoration project developers. This allows them to forward-sell their carbon credits at a discount which decreases as the credits approach maturity. One CRISP-M reflects the value of one ton of restoration-based carbon credits at maturity, and the discount is vested to the liquidity providers of the token. All projects using CRISP-M are regulated by Solid World's CRISP Framework to minimize risks of under-delivery and are approved by the pool's Curation Council. This system works as a decentralized warehouse for climate finance, connecting buyers and sellers across time.
