Overview of Core
Core is a blockchain technology that utilizes a novel consensus mechanism known as Satoshi Plus, which combines the optimal features of both Proof of Work (PoW) and Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS). This protocol-driven validator election mechanism ensures the maximization of security, scalability, and decentralization.
Satoshi Plus Consensus Mechanism
Satoshi Plus bridges the benefits of PoW and DPoS to achieve robust network governance. PoW, used by Bitcoin, involves crypto miners solving complex mathematical puzzles to validate transactions and secure the network, while DPoS models, like those implemented in some Ethereum-like networks, rely on validators staking tokens for the opportunity to validate transactions, ensuring network security through a financial stake. By blending these approaches, Satoshi Plus ensures enhanced security, increased efficiency, and improved decentralization.
Operational Framework
Core leverages the computing power of the Bitcoin mining hashrate and integrates the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to provide a high-level platform for smart contract execution. This synergy enables developers to create advanced distributed applications and capitalize on the robust security of the Bitcoin network while leveraging the flexibility of the Ethereum ecosystem.
