Coorest is a carbon compensation platform founded in September 2021. The platform’s mission is to make carbon compensation easy and transparent. Coorest offers a global high-quality CO2 compensation platform by providing a traceable and easy-to-use system for companies, institutions, and individuals.

The Coorest carbon ecosystem consists of four tokens:

1. NFTrees - tokenized trees that generate CO2 tokens based on the trees’ actual carbon absorption
2. CO2 token ($CCO2) - represents the actual amount of carbon absorbed by the trees
3. Proof of Carbon Compensation certificate (NFT) - contains information about the carbon capture and includes a QR code and Token ID for authentication
4. Governance token ($CRST)

Coorest has two types of NFTrees: fruit-bearing and regular trees. The NFTree holders accumulate CO2 tokens that can be used to generate PoCC certificates. Fruit-bearing trees yield additional profit from the fruit produced by the trees and ensure continued finance for emission reductions and removals.
