Chronos is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that operates on the Arbitrum network. Its goal is to be the primary source of liquidity and benefit all its users. It has released a limited edition Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection called The Lost Keys of Chronos, which includes 5,555 pieces. Owners are granted access to stable revenue streams. The sale of these chrNFTs will provide initial liquidity for the CHR token at its launch on the platform.
Chronos also offers maturity-adjusted liquidity positions, known as maNFTs, that accrue boosted CHR tokens over time. After six weeks, the rate plateaus and continues to earn rewards at the increased rate unless the user withdraws their funds. maNFTs can also be sold on a secondary market for a higher price compared to the underlying assets. This system allows Chronos to maintain liquidity over time.
Furthermore, Chronos has introduced the Chronos flywheel - a self-sustaining cycle that enhances the platform's growth and liquidity. The concept of maturity-adjusted LPs helps to create sustainable liquidity, ensuring that liquidity providers are well compensated and incentivized to keep their liquidity during times of price fluctuation. This system also allows a counter-cyclical effect to stabilize the CHR token price.
