Chainflix is a video streaming platform that employs a patented, mining embedded video player that lets users mine Chainflix coins while watching videos. The platform also utilizes an innovative AI-based distributed storage system that uses ZIP format, which means users contribute their storage to a shared pool instead of relying on a centralized CDN. The AI system determines how video files are distributed based on their size and traffic. Users view videos from these individual storage locations in real time, and the providers of the storage can earn rewards. This model significantly reduces operational costs and rewards users for their contributions. So far, Chainflix has 1,750 distributed storages from over 10 countries and users from 112 countries. The service, which has been in development for 4.5 years and is currently in beta, will eventually include live streaming, video commerce and options to use CFXT coins for donations, purchases, and participation in decentralized governance.
