Overview of Cabin
Cabin is a decentralized city built by and for creators. It integrates blockchain technology to facilitate an internet-first city-state. The project began with a physical node, Neighborhood Zero, located on a property in Texas Hill Country and is supported by a digital community residing in a Discord server. This server is organized into four guilds that manage the digital, physical, business, and social aspects of the DAO.
Governance and Community
CabinDAO operates under a unique governance model where 80% of its tokens, denoted by ₡ABIN, are controlled by the community. The remaining 20% are held by the founders and strategic partners. Community members can participate in completing "bounties" which are small commissions of work and are paid in ₡ABIN tokens. These tokens come with governance powers and can be used for various transactions.
Goals and Manifesto
The long-term vision of Cabin is to sow seeds for networked cities across the globe, fostering a world where creators can work online and build real-world communities together. The aim is to create a future where anyone can participate in the creation of these decentralized cities and online communities that own and operate their shared infrastructure.
