BoHr (OLD)

The BoHr project is an outdated model of the atom, developed by Niels Bohr in collaboration with Ernest Rutherford in 1913. This model consists of a small nucleus surrounded by electrons orbiting in discrete energy states, analogous to the structure of the Solar System. The Bohr model explains the Rydberg formula for hydrogen's spectral emission lines and introduced quantum mechanical principles to atomic physics. While it has been succeeded by more advanced theories like quantum mechanics, the Bohr model remains a simple and instructive introduction to the principles of atomic structure and energy quantization.
