BitANT is a governance token of the BitBTC Protocol project. It was minted with a total of 10 billion tokens at its genesis, all of which are distributed to the community. The token distribution is as follows: 80% is locked in DEX liquidity for 8 years, 15% is allocated to community airdrops, and 5% is reserved for community mining. Notably, the team does not own any tokens.

BitANT holders possess governance rights over the BitBTC Protocol, enabling them to submit and vote on proposals that influence the project's major decisions. This adherence to the DAO concept ensures community involvement and control.

The BitBTC Protocol

The BitBTC Protocol is designed to address the issues of high Bitcoin prices and slow transfer speeds. It proposes a solution to split BTC into BitBTC on the Ethereum network through smart contracts, with a conversion rate of 1 BTC equaling 1 million BitBTC. This results in faster transfer speeds, lower fees, and increased suitability for micropayments, while also being more energy-efficient and convenient for DeFi participation. To facilitate this, all exchange fees between BTC and BitBTC are utilized for repurchasing and burning BitANT tokens.
