BIM is a governance and financing platform designed to support the real economy by financing industry production and projects. The BIM token is the native utility token used for financing companies and participating in governance votes to determine investments and road map priorities. The project includes various tools such as BIM Finance, BIM Pay, BIM Industries, BIM Consulting, and BIM Financement, which facilitate production, payment, and financing within the BIM ecosystem.
The initial supply of BIM tokens is 314 million, distributed as follows:
- 6% for the project team
- 1% for partners
- 1% for ambassadors
- 1% for communication
- 1% for private sales
- 2% for the listing
- 19% Private/ICO
The remaining tokens are locked in the DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) of BIM and can only be released through votes within the DAO for investments in companies. The project aims to support the industry by funding and providing technical assistance, with a commitment to destroying at least 5% of earnings in the form of $BIM tokens to reduce the total BIM supply. BIM was launched by a team based in France, led by Damian PY and Léo Pestre, on August 23, 2022.
