Balancer Aave Boosted WMATIC is a crypto project developed by Balancer Labs that aims to increase liquidity provider (LP) yields by integrating Aave’s lending protocol. The project launched in December 2021, with the goal of enhancing capital efficiency by utilizing the full amount of liquidity deposited to a pool rather than the typical 10% used by traders.
The key feature of Boosted Pools is that they enable LPs to deploy a percentage of their liquidity to lending protocols like Aave, earning interest on their deposits while maintaining a smaller percentage within the pools for traders to use. This approach solves the issue of underutilized liquidity in Automated Market Maker (AMM) pools and reduces the costs associated with wrapping and unwrapping tokens during swaps.
