Balanced is a decentralized banking platform built on the ICON blockchain. It allows users to manage their crypto assets by earning and claiming rewards, viewing and sending assets, and managing staked ICX.

Earn and Claim Rewards

The platform offers rewards through the Savings Rate, incentives, and network fees. Users can earn these rewards in real time and claim them any time there is a balance available. To earn yield for bnUSD, users should deposit it into the Savings Rate. For BALN, users can borrow bnUSD or supply liquidity. To earn network fees and increase earning potential, users should lock up BALN.

View and Send Assets

The wallet allows users to view and manage their assets. Users can access the wallet from the top-right corner of every page and open it to view a list of assets for each connected wallet. They can manage an asset by clicking on it and viewing the option to send it by entering the amount and a compatible blockchain address.

Manage Staked Assets

To manage staked ICX, users can unstake their sICX from the wallet. The standard unstaking time is seven days, but it may take fewer days if there is enough demand for sICX. Users can view their unstaking requests by going to ICX > Unstaking. When the unstaked ICX is ready to claim, an alert badge appears next to the wallet icon.

Decentralized Exchange

Balanced includes a decentralized exchange (DEX) where users can swap assets, supply liquidity, and transfer assets cross-chain.

Swap Assets

Users can exchange crypto for various assets and move between blockchains in a single trade. This can be done by choosing an asset to swap and another asset to receive, selecting the blockchain, and entering the amount. Users can view pending cross-chain transactions on the Bridge tab.

Stability Fund

The Stability Fund offers 1:1 trades between bnUSD and approved stablecoins, minus a fee. Users can use this feature to trade with the Stability Fund.

Stake and Unstake ICX

Users can convert ICX to staked ICX (sICX) for free and earn staking rewards without locking up their tokens. To skip the unstaking period, users can pay a fee to swap sICX for ICX.

Supply Liquidity

Users can supply liquidity to facilitate trading on the DEX. Liquidity pools receive a portion of the trading fees, and many pools offer BALN as an incentive. Users can evaluate specific pools using the impermanent loss calculator. To supply liquidity, users must sign in with an ICON wallet, choose two assets to supply, and enter the amount.

Transfer Between Blockchains

Balanced supports ICON's cross-chain messaging service, allowing users to transfer assets to a wallet on another blockchain. This can be done by choosing the blockchains, selecting an asset, entering the amount, and entering a compatible blockchain address.
