B.20 is an NFT bundle that represents a large-scale public art project in the metaverse. It is fractionalized into 10 million B20 tokens, allowing everyone to own a part of this digital asset. This fractional ownership is what makes up these tokens referred to as the "keys" to this digital vault.
B.20 and Metapurse
Metapurse is focused on democratizing access and ownership to highly sought-after artwork. The fund owns a significant portion of the tokens and oversaw the distribution of 1.6 million tokens through a public sale, with the remaining tokens allocated to collaborators, stakeholders, and Beeple.
The Buyout Option
The project includes a smart contract with a "buyout option" that allows anyone to bid and buy out the entire NFT bundle. The minimum bid for this is set at $58 million, making it a significant investment opportunity. If sold, this "B.20 Master Key" would grant the owner full control over the bundle.
