Audius
Audius is a blockchain-based decentralized music streaming platform that aims to give artists and curators more control over their music creations. The platform uses the AUDIO token, an ERC-20 token, as its native cryptocurrency for supporting network operations, governance, and exclusive content unlocking. Audius enables artists to upload content, producing immutable records secured by a decentralized network of nodes. The platform connects artists directly to fans, allowing for custom monetization and distribution of music. Music curators receive 90% of the revenue in AUDIO, while 10% goes to node operators supporting the network. Users can engage with artists via artist tokens, which provide exclusive access to token-restricted content. Audius eliminates intermediaries, allowing artists to interact directly with fans and maintain ownership of their music. The AUDIO token also serves as a governance token, allowing stakers to participate in network operations and vote on proposals.
