Athena Finance allows users to deposit stablecoins and earn a boosted yield from the Hummus platform without staking HUM or accruing veHUM. By leveraging the platform's ample HUM supply, users can earn a boosted yield in HUM. Additionally, users can provide liquidity for Athena and receive rewards in the form of the governance and revenue-sharing token ATH.
Athena Finance also offers the option to convert HUM tokens into xHUM, which can be staked to earn a share of performance fees. The xHUM is used to stake on Hummus, accruing veHUM in perpetuity, and this veHUM balance is used to boost stablecoin and LP yields on Athena, generating revenue for the protocol.
To use Athena, users can deposit stablecoins and/or LP tokens, automatically receiving rewards in HUM. They can then lock their ATH to receive additional rewards. The platform allows users to claim their rewards from all pools in one click. For HUM token holders, they can convert their tokens to xHUM and stake or provide liquidity to earn yield revenue in HUM and additional ATH.
