Proof of Area Consensus
Areon Chain utilizes the Proof of Area consensus mechanism, which results in high performance up to 600,000 TPS without issues, completing transactions in approximately 100 milliseconds.
Tokenomics
The token, AREA, is currently on the Binance Smart Chain with a maximum supply of 500 million. Upon the mainnet launch, investors will receive a 1:1 coin replacement, and the new maximum supply will be decreased to 250 million, effectively halving the supply.
Testnet and Mainnet
The testnet allows developers to test new functions, measure performance, and debug in a risk-free environment. The testnet was launched on September 20, 2023, and proved to be a successful step towards the mainnet launch. The mainnet will be the live platform for smart contracts, dApps, live transactions, and new coin generation.
