Overview
Arbitrove ALP is a yield-bearing index protocol that allows users to create an index with exposure to a batch of yield-bearing assets. Unlike traditional index protocols that only hold tokens, Arbitrove dynamically deploys capital to strategies. ALP is the first index protocol to demonstrate this uniqueness by reflecting the price of a group of Arbitrum ecosystem tokens.
Protocol Mechanics
Arbitrove's yield-bearing index can be understood through its flagship product, ALP. Users can deposit various assets, including ETH and blue-chip Arbitrum tokens, to mint ALP. The amount of ALP minted per asset deposited is based on its latest price relative to the composition of ALP and the price of assets inside ALP. Fees for minting and redeeming ALP are asset-dependent and dynamically adjusted for rebalancing.
Yield Generation
Once minted, ALP can be staked on Arbitrove to earn esTROVE and organic yield generated from various strategies. Arbitrove's vaults earn yields through staking, LP farming, and lending on safe platforms. Yield is shared with ALP holders and can be shared with TROVE stakers after governance approval.
